Design and Construction

The Eve Premium Hybrid consists of five levels of next-generation foam and over 1500 pocket springs.

The mattress comes with a beautifully patterned white top and light grey sides separated by a yellow zip. This sleek and modern design really makes it stand out in the bed-in-a-box industry.

At the top of the mattress is the quilted, washable top cover. The cover can be zipped off, and machine washed. It consists of 97% polyester, 2% elastane, and 1% silver.  The tiny silver strands woven into the fabric give it antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antifungal properties.

The Eve Premium Hybrid Mattress cover also comes with six side carrying handles located at the ends under the mattress. They make moving and rotating the mattress much more effortless.

Underneath the cover are the multiple high-tech foam layers. Here is how the Eve Premium Hybrid mattress layers are placed.

     1. Eve Flatfoam® Layer

This brand new proprietary foam is incredibly soft and designed to adapt to your body and provide instant pressure relief. It also comes with active cooling technology to absorb heat and ensure you don’t overheat while sleeping.

     2. Memory Foam Layer

This next layer of the mattress is memory foam and slightly firmer than the first one. It contours to your body and provides optimal comfort and custom pressure relief. This layer also has cooling properties and is graphite infused.

     3. Transitional Support Foam Layer

This foam layer is firmer than the first two. It is designed to keep your spine aligned during sleep, ensuring you experience no aches or pain after waking up.

     4. Foam Casting Layer

Up next are the two large foam layers. They serve as the protective barrier between the springs and the above layers and ensure the mattress’s stability by reinforcing its edges.

     5. Pocket Springs

This mattress comes with an impressive number of 1500 pocket springs, an amount you could expect from a traditional pocket spring mattress. The pocket springs serve to enhance the mattress’s airflow, offer support and absorb movements.

     6. Anti Slip Base

Finally, all that’s left is the mattress’s base. It serves as the support for all these layers to sit upon and protects the springs from damage. In addition, it comes with anti-slip material that will keep the mattress firmly in place on your bedstand or divan.

In the image below, you can see how all these different layers are placed.

Eve Premium Hybrid Mattress Size and Features

This mattress is available in three larger sizes for ultimate sleep comfort. Here are its dimensions:

  • Double size – 135 x 190 cm
  • King size – 150 x 200 cm
  • Super king size – 180 x 200 cm

Additionally, it comes with a height of 28 cm, which is 3 cm taller than the industry standard and gives the mattress a much more luxurious look and feel. Plus, this size makes the mattress ideal for the elderly who might have problems climbing in and out of bed.

The mattress can also hold up to 114 kg per person, making it most suitable for people with an average build.

Temperature Regulation

This mattress has excellent temperature regulation and will keep you cool even during warm summer evenings.

Although memory foam mattresses are known to hold onto body heat, the Premium Hybrid’s cooling properties are primarily due to its pocket springs. They create natural ventilation channels that increase breathability and allow constant airflow within the mattress, leading to a much more comfortable and pleasant sleep.

We sincerely recommend this mattress to anyone who struggles to stay cool at night.

Motion Isolation

For light sleepers, motion isolation should be one of the top features to look for in a mattress, and the Premium Hybrid doesn’t disappoint in that regard.

The mattress’s memory foam layers contribute to excellent motion isolation – movements are effectively absorbed and not distributed across the entire mattress. This feature makes this mattress a superb choice for couples.

Edge Support

The Premium Hybrid provides good edge support. The sturdy foam casting layers distribute support equally across the entire mattress, which means you can sleep confidently right up to the edges without feeling like you might roll off.

Comfortability and Firmness

The top cushioned layers of the mattress will provide great comfortability. Still, the support foam layer and the pocket springs will ensure you never get a sinking feeling while sleeping. As a result, every part of your body will feel lifted and well supported.

The Premium Hybrid offers a level of supportiveness not often found in foam mattresses.

So, no matter which position you prefer to sleep in, on your side, stomach or back, your spine will be properly aligned, and you will feel instant pressure relief.

This mattress is also an excellent option for those who prefer a slightly firmer feel while sleeping. Namely, we found that it leans more towards the firmer end of the scale, so we’d give it a 6.5 out of 10 when it comes to firmness.

The mattress will be delivered to your doorstep rolled up and vacuum-sealed, neatly packed in a compact box. It will start expanding the minute you remove the vacuum seal. Still, it usually takes from 4 – 6 hours for the mattress to reach its original size.

When you first unpack it, you may notice an unusual chemical odour. Not to worry, though. That is called off-gassing and is entirely standard for all bed-in-a-box models. We suggest airing out the mattress in a well-ventilated room and letting it breathe until the smell completely disappears.

Delivery comes free of charge and usually takes up to 3 business days from placing your order. Eve Sleep also provides several additional services for the delivery of its products that include extra fees.

For instance, you can pick any day of your choosing to have your mattress delivered, even the next day after order placement, for an additional fee of only £6.

Eve Sleep also offers an old mattress removal and recycling service. You can arrange for your old mattress to be taken and recycled after your new one is delivered. This additional service will set you back another £40.

You can also request a two-person delivery service, where the mattress will be delivered directly to your room of choice.

Considering this is a Premium model, the price is expectedly higher than other Eve mattresses, such as the Original Hybrid or the Eve Lighter Hybrid. The table below shows the Eve Premium Hybrid mattress prices for each size.

Size Price
UK Double £978
UK King £1,128
Super King £1,247

Even though this price tag is significantly higher than other bag-in-box mattresses, its luxurious look and quality make it a well worth investment.

Moreover, while writing this Eve Premium Hybrid Mattress Review, we found that Eve Sleep offers frequent sales and discounts on all its mattress models. So, likely, you won’t even have to pay the entire price.

There are also several payment options. You can pay with a debit/credit card, via Paypal, or in monthly instalments via Divido with 0% interest.

Trial and Warranty

The Premium Hybrid also comes with a 100 nights trial period that begins immediately upon delivery. That gives you more than enough time to try out the mattress and see if it suits your needs. You can return the mattress at any point during the trial period and get a full refund – no questions asked.

As is customary in the industry, this mattress also comes with a ten-year warranty. The warranty includes all future performance issues, physical flaws and manufacturing defects you may encounter.

Customer Support

There are several ways to get in touch with Eve’s customer service team. You can contact them by phone, every business day between 10 am and 3 pm. You can also fill out a contact form and expect a response within two business days.

For any general inquiries, you can always visit Eve’s rich FAQs section. There you can get an answer to your question and even learn something new along the way.

Eve Premium Hybrid Mattress Alternatives

This review aims at helping you choose the mattress that is just right for you. For that reason, here we will provide a couple of hybrid mattress alternatives.

Eve Premium Hybrid vs Simba Hybrid Pro

Both models are 28 cm thick and have seven layers. They both benefit from a sophisticated and thoughtful design that creates the perfect balance between comfort and support for a great night’s sleep.

The Simba Hybrid Pro Mattress also has an additional wool top layer that gives the mattress its cooling properties.  In addition, the Hybrid Pro is available in more sizes as well, from single to super king. At the same time, the Hybrid Premium offers no single size.

Both mattresses are advertised as medium-firm by their manufacturers. Still, the Premium Hybrid is slightly firmer, making it a better choice for front and back sleepers. In contrast, side sleepers may find the Hybrid Pro more suitable.

The Hybrid Pro falls within the same price range as the Eve Premium Hybrid, ranging from £899 to  £1,379 depending on the size. It also offers a more extended trial period of 200 nights.

Finally, both models represent their respective brands’ most luxurious offerings, so you cannot go wrong with either of them. But, ultimately, it all depends on your personal preference.

Eve Premium Hybrid vs Emma Hybrid

Both these models are among the top hybrid mattresses on the market. They combine the best features of memory foam and pocket spring mattresses for a comfortable and supportive sleep surface.

Yet, they are remarkably different and are suitable for different kinds of sleepers.

The Emma Hybrid mattress is 25 cm thick made of four foam layers and a removable top cover. The upper Airgocell layer and memory foam give the Emma Hybrid a soft and pleasant feeling, while the springs and the HRX foam provide support and overall stability.

Still, the Emma Hybrid is much softer than the Premium Hybrid, making it the most suitable for side sleepers.

The Emma Hybrid is also available in two additional sizes, a single and small double mattress size. It is also a much more affordable option, and it comes with a 200 night trial period.

Customer Reviews

The Eve Premium Hybrid Mattress has received numerous almost-perfect review scores from users and critics alike.

The Eve Sleep brand currently has over 9,000 reviews on Trustpilot and an exceptional 4.4 out of 5 stars. Users most frequently praise this mattress for the support and comfort it provides, the quality of the materials, and its cooling properties, among other things.

When it comes to the negative Eve mattress reviews, we found that most of them are not even related to the quality of the mattress. Instead, the most frequent complaints are about the price, the lack of size options, and poor customer service experiences.

Wrap Up

We can conclude that the Eve Premium Hybrid is a top-quality mattress and a worthwhile investment.

The dreamy top cushioning provides just enough comfort that will help you drift off easily. But, at the same time, the exceptional support will ensure you wake up feeling well-rested and ready to tackle the next day.

Its other features like the cooling properties, excellent motion isolation, and edge support will further ensure you’ve had a great night’s sleep.

So, if your budget stretches to this high-end model, we couldn’t recommend the Eve Premium Hybrid Mattress more.
